When entering the club (do-jang) one of the first things you'll see is a poster that says, "Rules: Be Cool" which sets the stage for the relaxed, fun, supportive environment you'll be training in.

Baltimore Taekwon-Do is a family-owned and operated business established and operated by Dan DeArmas.  Mr. DeArmas has been training and teaching Taekwon-Do for over a decade. Competing and coaching nationally and internationally, Mr. DeArmas has represented Team USA at the ITF World Championships of Taekwon-Do.

Serving ages 4 and up, Baltimore Taekwon-Do provides fitness with a purpose in a safe and friendly atmosphere while promoting the Taekwon-Do values of Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit.  Pupils of Mr. DeArmas have not only gained great physical fitness but have also developed discipline, focus and confidence that has shown in their daily lives. Many of their club members have gone on to be successful in other sports as a result of developing a foundation in Taekwon-Do. Baltimore Taekwon-Do also brings with them a group of highly experienced black belt assistants, all certified with the ITF.

Baltimore Taekwon-Do is a certified ITF program. 

 

Mr. DeArmas holds ITF licenses and international instructor plaques.  These certifications and licenses require adherence to a standardized methodology as defined in the Encyclopedia of Taekwon-Do as written by its founder, Choi Hong Hi.  Additionally, black belts must attend International Courses regularly to stay current on the latest training methods.

For years, Mr. DeArmas have been instrumental in development of young people through martial arts at established programs in Maryland. 

 

The Catonsville area has been carefully selected as the location for Baltimore Taekwon-Do and 721 Frederick Road is the perfect home. The DeArmas family is active members of the Catonsville community serving as volunteers for the Christian Athletic Association and operating the Traditional Learning Community Homeschool Center.
